Ingredients:
- ¼ cup / 60 mL raw cacao powder
- 2 ½ tbsp / 50 mL Melrose Liquid Coconut Oil (Full Flavour or Flavour-free -- take your pick!)
- 1 - 2 tbsp Melrose Rice Syrup
- ½ vanilla bean, seeds scraped
- 1 tbsp Melrose Almond Spread (optional)
- Pinch salt flakes (optional)
Method:
Before you make this sauce ensure that all your bowls and utensils are very clean and do not have any traces of water.
Using a small, clean mixing bowl add in cacao powder and liquid coconut oil, stir well with a fork or small whisk to achieve a smooth sauce.
Add in rice syrup and stir well to combine, if the sauce looks split, add a little more coconut oil. Stir through vanilla beans and almond butter and salt, if desired. Taste and adjust ingredients if needed, if you prefer a sweeter sauce add a little more rice syrup.
Store in airtight container until ready to use.
