Before we get into this delicious recipe below, how about we understand why ketosis is beneficial & why we love organic MCT oil in our coffee? Ketosis is a state of metabolism, which breaks down fat for energy. The quickest way to ketosis, is through a low-carb or ‘ketogenic’ diet. This is where MCT oil coffee’s come in handy.

Method:

  • Place coffee, ghee, MCT oil, and boiling water into a small blender and blend on high speed for about 10 seconds until coffee is creamy and smooth.
  • Remove from blender and serve immediately.
  • Feel free to personalise the recipe to your taste by adding a pinch of cinnamon, maca powder or turmeric for extra benefits.

Tips:

Make sure your blender is suitable for hot liquids. If not, then blend all ingredients above with a small amount of warm water to emulsify, then top up with boiling water to serve 


*You can use any kind of black coffee. If starting with a long black, rather than a shot of espresso, simply remove the 80mL of hot water from the recipe


If you are new to using MCT oil, only add 1 teaspoon into your MCT Coffee, if you have been using MCT oil for sometime, you can increase your intake to 1 tablespoon per day, but gradually increasing a teaspoon at a time over a period of a few weeks
